Still waiting for Google Scholar

I always need to download an item I search and find with the Google Scholar or at least I should simply keep the reference since this versatile search provides the first page or at least an abstract. In this way I do not need to manually type in the details to my EndNote 9 citations manager which is now a very integral part of my scientific writing. On the same breathe, I shall be delighted to find a link from Google Book Search that provides for a "download to citations manager" link just like in say Scirus. It is basically because I can see the Table of contents without having to get a physical book, I can search a chapter and get exerpts etc. Google does provide book details such as publisher, edition, year etc...I need to manage it as a citation. Can sb at Google, or any other developer provide a plug-in for these items? It would do the research community a great deal of good. Thanks

Are Google, Microsoft, Firefox fighting for my desktop real estate?

I have noticed that each time I switch on the pc, Firefox cannot connect to Google, Yahoo etc. If I should copy the URL and paste into IE 7 Beta, I swiftly get i. At some stage during the day, the service becomes available...although for some time now I cannot access my hotmail a/c.

Question is: Are Google, Firefox and Microsoft waging their war for net control right under my nose ? Are they fighting for my desktop real-estate? Sb help!
