Escape With You

To all those who sincerely miss their loved ones for one reason or another.

May I escape with you,
in the dead of the night,
to the place of our love,
under the woods.... within the shrubs,
Filled with the melody of cheering birds,
and harmony of crickets,
the land of our first love.

May I walk with you in my arms,
under the glare of the seductive full moon,
without the cognisance of envious men,
escorted by silent whistle of the breeze,
by the cool... night beach,
the land of our first love.

May I caress you where no jealousy stares,
please tip toe with me to our abode,
to the seashore where time is immeasurable,
to the calm sea where haste is forbidden,
where the moon never sets,
the land where the sun doesn't rise,
to the seclusion of our own love nest

Those Dogs of War: Were they Checked on Arrival?

When that loud dog-of-war from Armenia imported hounds from Dubai, were they checked at the airport by a vet to ensure that they didn't introduce some deadly variant of bird flu? Those of us who jet in and out of the country once in a while must have met the wrath of the airport staff who ferret the bags for anything including wilting Chinese orange plants. Whenever they are found out, they are confiscated....allow me to say in the inaccessible depth of those inspectors' bowels. They eat them though they claim that the same are unsuitable to be allowed into Kenya.

But that is not the point I want to make. When that haughty man who is moving around desecrating my homeland imported those haunts (that are capable of sending Maj. Gen. Ali to Allah before the appointed time) from Dubai, were they checked on arrival to ascertain that they are suitable to live in Kenya and terrorise Kenyan people on our own soil? Indeed do we have any stringent regulations to govern importation of any live animals? Or is it that because the importers are linked to the mighty of the land, one eye was closed to allow them free passage with those hound-flu infested terrorists from Dubai?

Next, how much provocation does Michuki need to send his rattle-snakes on the mighty foreigner, unless of course he was one of the rattle snakes that visited rampage on the Standard/ KTN?

Kenya desecrated!

Some alleged Armenians, drug-dealers with powerful government protectors and a senior police officer shielding them from prosecution. It reads like a thriller from Hollywood. What a shame! Where on earth did some nondescript personality emerge on Kenyan soil to desecrate our land and bring disrepute on the people of Kenya? This only happens in the Kibaki presidency. There has never been a worse time to be called a Kenyan.

First, the ravaging famine and starvation in a country that teaches agriculture in all the leading universities and research institutions. That aside from the fact that the country boasts a glut in harvests in the western echelons of the RVP. To add insult to injury, it happens during the tenure of a noise-maker called Kirwa.

Drug-dealers with government friends? Associated with the daughter of a senior politician? These men have desecrated MY country, OUR country. Kenyans join me in cleansing our homeland. We ought to start walking tall once again. I'm pained in my heart, my ego is punctured. How can this happen in Kenya? Even in his impunity, Mzee Moi could never compromise national security just because of the money of a drug-dealing long-nosed coloured with absolute disrespect for Kenya. Who will join me in reclaiming the country? WHO?

Fixed my Yahoo! Crrush

After several trials, I decided to create a new profile in Firefox. With help from the easy-to-follow help tips I migrated my extensions, passwords, user settings etc. Now my Firefox 1.5 can display Yahoo! the way it appears in IE. I'm excited! I learnt a lesson in all these debacles. Never tinker with the default settings unless you're certain about what you're doing!

So, who's blocking my access to my Blog?

Honestly, since the first day I decided to immortalise my thoughts in a blog and opted to do it here I have never had even a sneak view of my blog. All I do is to preview while loading AdSense, after which I don't know what happens. Is anybody blocking access to the site http://***.blogspot.com because I cannot open any other blog I would like to view? I decline to take no for an answer. My blog has no politics that is harmful to anybody here. I'm disappointed that I cannot enjoy the beautiful thing I have created. Can anybody help? Well I can get to http://www.blogger.com and get to my dashboard. That's almost all there is

New Windows Live Toolbar with Onfolio crashes my IE 7 Beta

Not to be left behind in the new and appearing software, I went on to download the all new Windows Live Toolbar with Onfolio add-in. Poor new software guinea pig me! The thing kept crushing my IE 7 Beta. It only could work when I decided to uninstal and revert to the old MSN Toolbar. Just like the other security suite available as Windows Live OneCare which either switched off my Windows Firewall while its own Firewall could not start, I will not rush to any of them. At least not for now. My advice; slow down on those Live packages until they are past the beta stage.

Yahoo! Crushing my Firefox 1.5

As I write this I have almost given up on something I like most. The integration of the Blue Frog anti-spam extension into FF 1.5 makes my spam reporting effortless. However, I almost can't work with Yahoo! Mail in FF anymore. The page crushes and I have to do the manual reporting of spam. Anybody with helpful info out there? I'm desperate, I need my FF to work with Y!Mail, badly. Additionally, the Yahoo page cannot display well, especially whenever I want to read sports. Like the top list on sports cannot display well. If I choose NBA from the sports page, I cannot see the other links and I would love to switch between NBA and Soccer. Help!

You slept beside me last night

dedicated to Ednah, the love of my youth

When I went to bed last night,
you weren't there with me,
Before I slept.. I didn't see you,
But I know you slept with me last night.

I pulled you and stroked your cheek,
I felt the warmth of your broad smile,
As you squeezed my hand in reply,
I kissed your succulent little lips,
I wanted to feel the tip of your nipples,
But you wore your tight bra and swim suit,
I wanted to gently massage your fleshy thigh,
But you came to bed in your tight jean,
You slept with me last night.

You closed me in your arms,
and I drifted in peaceful sleep,
When I awoke you weren't there beside me,
The door was secured like when I had slept,
It was only a dream.. but I know you slept with me.

Mama I owe it to you!

Dedicated to my Mama, 65 years, for the patience and grace.

You bore our twin burden in pregnancy,
ignoring the advice for abortion,
you were overcome by anticipation,
not knowing what we were,
you pulled through till our birth,
Mama I owe my life to you.

In labour alone you agonized,
the pangs too sharp to bear you fainted,
at my maiden feeble cry you awoke,
joyfully embracing your twin blessing,
eyes flooded with tears of motherhood.

When we were hungry you knew,
thirst or cold wasn't difficult to know,
when we were wet or soiled you cleaned us,
you chewed and gave us food to swallow,
you taught us speech and mama we spoke first,
I would never repay you enough,
Mama I owe my life to you.

Talented Yet Deprived

She awakes suddenly,
she darts to the river downstream,
sogged in the early morning raging storm,
to wash off the previous day's dust,
talented yet deprived she knows.
she milks the family cows after school,
she fetches water from the steep river,
she cooks for the family,
she washes the dishes each night,
she feeds her siblings,
That's the future African female Professor,
Talented yet deprived.
I must overcome,
she urges herself on,
education is the only hope,
she convinces herself,
nobody should think me weak,
just because I am female,
she assures herself,
For talented yet deprived she knows.
